NYC. Field Trip

Agenda:

Friday  (inner city/midtown  Manhattan). Many of the places we will
vist are the  tourist-hot spots of NYC. But they will get a complete
different reading of them as we try to understand why they are what
they are: the urban/landscape relations. We will include: Bryant
Park-Times Square-Rockefeller Center-Park Avenue - some pocket parks
in midtown Manhattan-Grand Army Plaza-Central Park (up to the 80,s)
-Columbus Circle.

Saturday ( mainly the water fronts/ the post industrial edges)
Riverside Park South. (from 72nd st down to the 50's)
The Highline
Battety Park (From the groud zero area to Wagner Park/South Ferrry)
New  landscape Interventions on the East River-ferry to Blooklyn Bridge Park!

If we move with vigor we will cover  them all as we have managed in
previous trips. Good walking shoes!
